everybody lost this week, and everybody agreed to split 3 ways.  congrats to pierce, ray, and glenn on their win.  for all of us here at survivor headquarters, have a happy holidays and we'll see you next year.

and that's why they call it survivor.  it's really all about avoiding those big upsets, and 12 out of 15 of us took the big hit in week 10.  we are down to 3, who wisely went with the giants (despite my taunting jinxes).  good luck to glenn/mike, pierce, and ray in week 11!

say goodbye to ajay karne.  he lasted 8 weeks, but was lured one too many times by the thursday nite game, and chose the bengals last night, who lost to miami in overtime.

fun fact: it's only the 3rd time in NFL history that a game ended in OT with a safety.

it's tough being a rams fan.  especially since they have been the worst NFL team since 2005.

and they teased me last night.  down 5, 3 minutes to go, ball on their own 2.  they drive the ball all the way down to the seattle 1 with :04 left and can't get it done.

only one close call this week....but everybody survived.  congrats, and good luck in week 8.

we now move to week 7.  we are still a couple weeks away from the really tough decisions, but you never know when that big upset is going to attack!

well well well.....how bout them JETS!

a BIG upset this week - just what the league needed.  it knocked more than a third of the league out (including one of my two entries (WHY DIDN'T I START THE RAMS FOR BOTH)), and leaving us with 15 people left.

barring an agreement for everybody to walk away with $147, we move on to week 6.

3 teams have denver left, basically guaranteeing themselves a virtual bye week.....unless they cocky with strategy.....

congrats to ajay and joe who mustered up the bravery to go with cleveland this week on thursday night.  4.5 favorite, yes, but i'm sure there were some tight sphincters when it was 24-24.....

i'm also sure they will both be pulling for the jacksonville and the jets this weekend....

week 4 final results

well, no big upsets this week.  however, we did lose 2 people, leaving us with 24 left - an important milestone that we now have less than half of the original 49 remaining.

well not only did seattle win, but they covered.  good stuff.

one upset per week, that seems to be the model this year.  i never liked the look of that minnesota game, but 7 people did not agree with me on that.  and they are no longer with us.

that leaves the 26 left.  almost half the league has been knocked out.

week 4 will bring some challenges.  however, enough teams still have denver and indy left to keep things interesting.  good luck!

wow, i have no fingernails left.  i've never listened to more of a houston texans game than i did yesterday.  that kicker should be fired.  but at least they won in the end.

so sorry* for those of you who started philly.  we are now down to to 33 people left, with 1/3 of the league out after 2 weeks.

well, 8 out of 49 (16.3%) dropped out week 1.  the rest of you can breathe a sigh of relief.  getting past week 1 is critical.

week 1 update

wow....a couple of nail-biters week 1.  especially for those of you who started INDY or NE (present company included).

my wife finished 2nd last year, and her strategy got her last this year.  go figure.

a couple folks with games going tonight, a couple folks who still haven't submitted, and some of you who haven't paid, good thing i know you and like you....get those payments IN!
