week 4 results

well jacksonville made it a LITTLE interesting in the first half, but many of us were able to relax a little more in the 2nd half.

not so much for those who started pittsburgh and atlanta.  8 more people got knocked out this week, leaving only 26.

good luck in week 5!

week 3 results

i'd like to have at least ONE week where my team wins by 20+.  i can't take much more of these nail-biters.

well, we lost one this week.  dan larkin was on a plane during the 1pm deadline and was forced to go with a late game.  he chose the dolphins.

go pats!

well, less than half the league started the pats this week (17 of 35).  early strategy, or oakland fans?

disaster

well, just like my wedding night, "that was fast".

4 super suckers who re-bought, only to be knocked out by the very team that screwed them in week 1.  poetic, yes.  enjoyable, no.

not only did i get to watch san fran squander a 17 point lead, but at the same time i got to watch the yankees blow another 9th inning lead, flushing what little playoff hopes they had left down the drain.

the broncos made it interesting....so did the packers.  my upset of the week pics apparently are only valid for the first 1/2 of games.

fun fact: if denver and green bay would have lost, only 2 players would be left in this pool.

instead, we have 35 teams left.  good luck on stabilizing this rocky start!

week 2 picks

ok, here we are.  week 2.

of the 24 that got knocked out in week 1, exactly 1/2 of them bought back in....including kelly and me.

so...week 2.  denver and green bay are the big picks.

week 1 results

da f*ckin' bears.

ouch.  not only did i pick them, but so did my wife.  we are both buying back in, which is a much bigger sucker bet than taking the eagles, which turned out okay for many of you.

so, here is where we stand in this difficult week 1:

out of 66 teams:
42 advance
7 were eliminated, but have opted to buy back in (pending received payment by this sunday)
12 were eliminated and have not informed me whether they are buying back in (if i don't hear from them/receive payment by sunday, they will be eliminated)
5 were eliminated and smartly walked away

as i've mentioned, this is the ONLY week for the rebuy.  if you lose after week 1, you are eliminated.

best of luck.....
